The Happy Jackal offers Addo Accommodation with a choice of six luxurious double en-suite rooms, five with stunning river views, one of the garden and a short distance from Addo National Elephant Park.

The new Kouga Harbour is only 15 minutes away.

Guests may choose from ground-floor rooms with private entrances and garden patios, or impressively large and comfortable thatched upstairs rooms, each of which has its own outside thatched deck… All rooms enjoy upmarket facilities and are well-furnished and luxurious.

Recline in the spacious, double-volume lounge, well-stocked with a collection of interesting books.

We try to be as “Green” as possible with our use of solar power, organic gardening and recycled water. In accordance with this, the Happy Jackal has a no-smoking policy for indoors.

On fine, calm mornings take time to enjoy at leisure, a full English or  health breakfast, whilst watching the antics of our resident Egyptian geese and hoopoes. Bushbuck and Kudu have often been spotted across the river.Stroll with your coffee down the rolling lawns to the water´s edge and plan your day.

Our breakfasts boast home-baked bread, fresh each morning: preserves and jams made from the fruit from our garden: free-range eggs and farm milk.

We offer in house Dinners - Bookings are essential in advance

We have our very own safari vehicle with Shaun, our qualified and experienced Game Ranger, for our own guests who enjoys Accommodation with us.

We will take you into the Addo Elephant National Park on this open vehicle. 

So exciting to get up close to the animals and take great photos.

You will leave the Happy Jackal after breakfast and return in the late afternoon.

The price will be R1800 (Cash) per person and will include:

• Entrance into the park (R420 each)
• ±8 Hour game drive
• Packed lunch
• Drinks and snacks
